First Friday with EILEEN ALLEN

On View From April 28th, 2014 – July 27th, 2014

Eileen Allen is a talented local artist based in Apex, NC. Although she’s been painting for some time, this will be the first public exhibition of her work in the Triangle area. Her recent paintings encompass a wide range of techniques – from minimal ink & wash sketches to highly complex Renaissance-style oil portraiture.

This month The Oxford presents an exhibit featuring both sides of Allen’s beautiful works – a series of original ink & wash botanicals titled “Bulbs in Bloom” and a collection of 20th century traditionalist oil portrait reproductions, created using the academic Old Masters’ technique of verdaccio underpainting, controlled palette, & rich glazes. Allen’s work will remain on display at The Oxford through July 27th. Please check back for details on receptions & other events. alleneileen@yahoo.com
